GRAND MASTI review - movie and music

During the whole rolling of movie there were some ROFL moments, some funny moments, some cranky moments but those were covered with a light feeling of shame. The thing makers did great was that they highlighted the fact "STRICTLY FOR ADULTS" so that people did not take children with them but they should have said it - NOT TO WATCH WITH FAMILY EITHER, I am saying so because those people who went with there families minus children also felt uncomfortable in sitting those 130 minutes, in between adult one liners, boobs and butt show from the screen and One liner comments, abusive hooting and disgraced laughter from the people or say Boys watching it. Those who went to watch movie with friends strictly saying not with girl friends really enjoyed most because they found the movie coming from their community, and those who went with girl friends just managed to suppress their laughter on the jokes pointed upon the girls.

So where the film Masti was a kind of movie that at least could have been watched with family (adults, though) the Grand Masti is made only to keep in the frontbenchers and youth friends community, and that's why lots of youths after watching trailers were confirmed to watch this.

The story revolves around the three college time hunk friends, Riteish Deshmukh as Amar, Aftab Shivdasani as Prem & Vivek Oberoi as Meet, whose married life is not going through well, as they are not getting enough sex by various reasons and it makes them so desperate about  it that, to get sex they are ready to let the house theft. Then there comes an invitation from their college SLUTS (;P) for a reunion, and they decides to go there to fulfill the desire of sex. There they gets into some trouble and how they overcome the situations is the story, that's it.

The Story written is so unreal it is totally fictional that no body can relate with such type of college to such kinda Principal, although the writers Milap Zaveri and Tushar Hirachandani have done a great job on dialouges, one liners and screenplay. But most of the jokes are from SMSes...12:35 is a good one. Keeping the plot in mind, Director Indra Kumar is good but the film required a bit more consciousness, having said that, the kind of movie Grand Masti is direction is pretty good because the adult comedy requires broad thinking of scenes to be shown, which do not seem dramatic and Indra Kumar has fulfilled this requirement.
Although I don't know why the bank scene got cut, which was shown in the promo. Editing part is good and it gave the pace to the movie.
First half of the movie has got enough pace and comedy but in second half movie has been elongated and that bores sometime.

Acting : In acting aspect I was looking forward to Riteish knowing his capability of comedy and his timing but interestingly Aftaab did the best job of his career so far, his expressions are so unique and fresh and funny that he made some of the scenes hillarious, Riteish Deshmukh is ordinary although sometimes awesome while Vivek Oberoi who in the starting scenes did good became worse with the film progresses. The ladies department is full of cleavage and butt showing and in the name of acting most of them have done drama, but Karishma Tanna has shown a great acting skill in her length of role. Suresh Mennon is fun to watch and Pradeep Rawat is average.

The film has not great music but with mood of the movie the songs can be compromised, Anand Raj Nand who have given great numbers in past has failed to reckon with his level. And another music director duo Sanjeev-Darshan also didn't do too good but have given some catchy tunes.
The title song is a club song, fast tracked whose lyrics are full with double meaning words by Kumaar sung by Sanjeev and Darshan and Payal.
The catchy song Zulmi Zulmi sung by Mika is penned by Manoj darpan is good one but the best song of the album is Tu Bhi Mood me, music by Anand Raj Anand lyrics by Kumaar and guess who sang it Wajid Khan of Sajid - Wajid, whose voice is just adorable and fits with the song along with Ritu Pathak. This is a massy song and gives the feel of a 1990's time songs.

Overall I did not regretted after watching the movie, because I got what I wanted from a hindi adult comedy...it may be taken a step taken forward towards the ADULTIATION of bollywood. A good watch but yeah strictly for adults and to be watched with friends not with family...
